Standard: There shall be ongoing liaison roles with complementary organizations, such as nearby park and recreation agencies, social service organizations, and other governmental units and regulatory bodies.
Fairfield Parks and Recreation has close working relationships with numerous park and recreation agencies, public and social service organizations and other local government agencies to provide programming beyond the department’s capacity. The result is a greater range of programs and services available to the public. For example, a cooperative agreement with the Fairfield Youth Baseball Association, Inc. to operate an amateur baseball program for the youth of the City of Fairfield and provide routine maintenance of the baseball fields and related facilities owned by the City of Fairfield.
The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department Director and various staff members act as liaisons to many organizations and agencies operating in coordination to provide services and programs of joint interest.
