The City of Fairfield, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), would like to invite you to a public meeting to present information and receive feedback from the public regarding a project to improve South Gilmore Road between Mack Road and Planet Drive.
The project involves widening South Gilmore Road from 3 through lanes to 4 through lanes with a raised median and left turn lanes. Additionally, sidewalk will be constructed on both sides of the road between Mack Road and Resor Road. North of Resor Road the pavement will be widened for 400 feet to tie into the existing 4 lane section. New sidewalk will be installed on the west side of South Gilmore Road from Resor Road to Planet Drive. The existing traffic signal at South Gilmore Road and Resor Road will be reconstructed. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2024.

The meeting will be held in an open house format. You may attend at any time during the open house to view exhibits and ask questions of the project team. Representatives from the City, ODOT, and engineering consultants will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation will be given. Anyone interested in this project is encouraged to attend the open house. Comment forms will be available at the open house or comments can be submitted to Nicholas Dill, City Engineer, at NDill@fairfield-city.org or (513) 867-4221, or the City of Fairfield Public Works Department, 8870 North Gilmore Road, Fairfield, OH 45014. For those that are unable to attend, a virtual open house will also be available. In order to proceed with the project in a timely manner, all comments must be submitted by May 16, 2022.
