This system enables the City to send high-speed alerts to residents and businesses by phone call, text and/or email. These alerts might be sent to all or portions of the City depending on the geographic impact of an event.  For example, a missing person alert might be broadcast community-wide, while a boil water alert would generally be sent to a targeted affected area.  Information is delivered using recorded messages that detail the situation and may also provide further instructions.
