[ARCHIVED] Annual fire hydrant flushing starts today

Hydrant Flushing Map

The City of Fairfield’s Water Division will be conducting the first phase of the annual fire hydrant flushing program today, Thursday, April 12. Water main line flushing will be conducted beginning at 4 p.m. and continue for four to six hours.

Residents may experience discolored water for a short period of time if water is used while a flushing crew is in your area.  Water should become clear after allowing services to flush for a period of five to 10 minutes.

The affected areas will include areas east of Groh Lane and west of Pleasant Avenue from the City’s north corporation limit south to Sherry Lane.
