The City of Fairfield uses the CodeRED® emergency alert system as a tool to notify residents and businesses of urgent situations.
The system enables the City to send high-speed alerts via phone, text and email. These calls may be sent to all or to portions of the City dependent on the geographic impact of an event.
For example, a missing person alert might be broadcast community wide while a water boil alert would generally be sent to a targeted affected area. Information is delivered using recorded messages that detail the situation and which may provide further instructions to the recipients.
