You will find the same amenities in their mobile unit that you would find in their breast centers, including a comfortable waiting area, registration area and private changing and screening rooms.

They offer the latest technology in breast imaging—including 3-D breast tomosynthesis—to produce clearer images for interpretation by the radiologist and to improve cancer detection. The utilization of CAD (computer-aided detection) also assists in the identification of small breast cancers that could be missed with mammography alone.

Their mobile unit, along with their hospital-based breast centers, are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), ensuring our facilities meet quality standards. Their mammography technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed in mammography. Their interpreting physicians are board-certified breast radiologists and unlike with any other mobile program or breast center in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, UC Health breast radiologists interpret only breast images.

Please Note:

• Due to hospital policy, each participant must have a physician or nurse practitioner to provide follow-up care, if needed.
• Anyone under 35 years old, must provide a physician order for a screening mammogram to participate on the day of the mobile event. No physician order is required for participants 35 and older.
• Results will be sent directly to the participant and their designated healthcare provider. Results will also be viewable in the participant’s secure “My UC Health” account. No individual results will be revealed to the organization holding the event.
