Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls follows Grace Fryer, a 1926 watch dial painter who fell ill with a mysterious disease. The play traces her battle against U.S. Radium Corporation and Arthur Roeder, her employer, who could not understand how the same miracle medicine that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the horrifying illnesses among his employees.
