Economic Development
The City of Fairfield is a leading business location in the Cincinnati region. Home to a diverse business community, the city strives to provide robust infrastructure and high-quality services that foster a pro-business environment.
Located adjacent to major interstate highways I-75 and I-275, Fairfield is an ideal location for manufacturing and logistics businesses. Our companies range from innovative research and development firms to major suppliers for the automotive industry.
Fairfield is home to the corporate headquarters of Cincinnati Financial Corporation, regional staples such as Skyline Chili and Jungle Jim’s International Market, and leading manufacturers including Pacific Manufacturing and Koch Foods. A collection of small businesses—including unique shops and restaurants—complement our larger companies.
City officials and staff place a high-priority on business recruitment and retention efforts. We work closely with partners at the local, regional, and state levels, including the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, REDI Cincinnati, JobsOhio, and other partners to support existing and prospective companies.
The city’s economic development programming is housed in the Development Services Department. The department is also responsible for building and site plan reviews, building permits and inspection, zoning administration, and comprehensive planning, ensuring that development is coordinated in a one-stop approach.
