Fairfield Connects Master Plan
Building on community input received during the Fairfield Forward comprehensive planning process, the City completed a connectivity master plan. The plan is focused on identifying opportunities to improve the walkability and bikeability of Fairfield. Known as Fairfield Connects, the plan will be a guiding document that informs the City’s decision-making process as transportation improvements are planned and completed.

Fairfield Connects - 2025 Status Update
This Council-Manager Briefing on July 14, 2025, highlighted the significant strides made in implementing the Fairfield Connects Master Plan. This plan, born from community input, aims to enhance pedestrian and bicycle connectivity throughout Fairfield, linking neighborhoods, schools, parks, and commercial areas. The briefing covered progress on high-priority routes, expansions of sidewalk and multi-use trail infrastructure, and future projects, showcasing the city's commitment to a more connected and walkable community.
